Kate's Near Fall: Kate Middleton recycled her Saint Patrick’s Day outfit, wearing the same green Emilia Wickstead coat that she wore to last year’s event. But what really stole the show was the heel of her right LK Bennett shoe, which got caught in a grate, forcing Kate to almost take an unfortunate tumble. [Royalist]

Wintour's New Job Still a Mystery: Condé Nast held a corporate meeting on Friday, at which many of the publishing house’s editors expected to receive some more information about how Anna Wintour’s new appointment will affect their jobs. Linkening Wintour to Condé's new “supreme pontiff,” WWD says that Wintour’s job wasn’t explained in detail as expected. “It was strangely undramatic given the magnitude of the appointment,” explained a source. Of Wintour, another said: “She’ll do what she always does, which is what she wants to do.” [WWD]

Being Thin is Still a Thing: The Business of Fashion published an op-ed on Monday that discusses fashion’s obsessive thinness, acknowledging that the debate is still very much an issue. Writes editor Imran Amed, “According to the National Eating Disorders Association, twenty years ago, the average model weighted 8 percent less than the average woman. Today’s models weight 23 percent less. But there might be some good news: Swedish store Åhléns has brought size 6 and 10 mannequins into their store rotations. The move has prompted worldwide applause and could very well cause a runoff effect with other retailers. [BoF]

Kids Fashion Week: London will launch its first Kids Fashion Week on Tuesday. The ‘week’ will last only two days, featuring designs by the likes of Chloé, Little Marc Jacobs, and Paul Smith Junior. The Financial Times’s Vanessa Friedman thinks the event is marred with a good amount of backwards consumerism. “Children…need the space to decide who they are,” she wrote. “Fashion should be smart enough to take the long view andg ive it to them: in-store if necessary, but not on a show.” [FT]

Now we know the real Ellen DeGeneres. On Monday's episode of 'Ellen,' Madonna showed up wearing something rather, well, Madonna-esque (read 'highly unusual and just a little kinky'). When Ellen was similarly outfitted, the host cheekily said, 'I finally feel like myself.'
