Kate Moss to Cover Playboy's 60th Anniversary Issue: It's official: Kate Moss will appear on the cover of the January issue of Playboy magazine, in honor of its 60th anniversary. The model, who will turn 40 in January, will be wearing the usual “Playboy bunny ears,” along with “French cuffs and pair of silk stockings,” according to Harper’s Bazaar. While rumors of the cover circulated in June, Playboy has officially confirmed the cover shoot, photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. "[Kate's] the perfect partner for us to help launch the next 60 years, Playboy's editorial director, Jimmy Jellinek, told the Los Angeles Times. "It started with Marilyn Monroe on the cover of Playboy 60 years ago, an icon for her time. Now we've got Kate Moss!" [Vogue UK]  

Gianni Versace's Home in Miami Might Reopen as Luxury Hotel: The Ocean Drive property that once belonged to Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace was bought by VM South Beach LLC for $41.5 million at auction. Versace died on July 15, 1997, leaving his company and house intact. Joe Nakash, a spokesperson for the Nakash family (who own VM South Beach and Jordache Entreprises) says they plan to convert the mansion into a hotel and that they are in talks with the Versace family about whether they will be able to use the name “Versace” for the hotel. The mansion has 10 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and a swimming pool with 24-carat gold decorations. [Telegraph]

Kerry Washington Named World's Best-Dressed Star: Kerry Washington, the actress playing the powerful Olivia Pope in the hit series Scandal on ABC, was elected the world's best-dressed celebrity by People magazine. The 36-year-old star works with the New York-based stylist Erin Walsh. People explains that Washington usually makes atypical fashion choices that set her apart from others, such as the “crystal-covered coral Miu Miu gown” she wore for the Oscars. [People]

Patrizia Reggiani Could Be Up for Parole: The woman known as the “Black Widow” by the media, Patrizia Reggiani, is hoping to find a way out of prison. Reggiani, an Italian socialite, was sentenced to 26 years in prison in 1997 after she was found guilty of arranging the murder of her husband and head of Gucci fashion house, Maurizio Gucci. WWD reports that Reggiani's lawyer has requested suspension of her sentence so she could become a consultant for Italian jewelry and accessories company Bozart. [WWD]
