Prince Charles Edits Country Life Magazine
For many years, Country Life magazine has been a bastion of rural living, broadly in line with many of Prince Charles's views such as the advisability of huntin', shootin' and fishin', and today he is announce as a one-issue only guest editor of the mag to mark his 65th birthday next week.
According to Media Guardian, the majority of the content in next week's edition of the 116-year old IPC Media title has been chosen by Charles.
Prince Charles has written the leader column and his views on art, books, food and the countryside charities he supports are covered in the magazine.
Features includes Prince Charles' top 10 Countryside Champions and a design to deliver affordable rural housing commissioned from an architect from his Foundation for Building Community.
The Guardian adds that there is also a feature about the prince's garden at Birkhall, his home on the Balmoral estate in Scotland and another about his Welsh residence.
Mark Hedges, Country Life editor, said: "The commemorative edition is a unique record of the prince's love of the countryside and his commitment to preserving its way of life. The prince has overseen the content of this special issue, from selecting contributors and suggesting features to writing the leader and contributing to reader favourites."
