Dolce & Gabbana Sentenced to Prison (Again); Kate Middleton's Royal Tour Wardrobe Cost $65K

And Lupita Nyong'o has been named presenter at this year's CFDA Awards.

Dolce and Gabbana Sentenced to Prison (Again): After being sentenced to almost two years in prison last June, Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Sefano Gabbana are finally going to have to serve their time. The duo, who stood trial for alleged tax evasion surrounding the sale of their Dolce & Gabbana and D&G brands in 2004, quickly appealed the original verdict—a decision that was predicted to have them acquitted. Unfortunately, the three-judge panel still found them guilty, resulting in a mandatory 20 months in prison. [Vogue UK]

Kate Middleton's Wardrobe for Australia Cost $65k: The Duchess's highly-coveted (and highly-publicized) wardrobe is anything but cheap. For the royal tour of Australia and New Zealand, Kate's 22 looks—which included a $2,961 emerald green Erdem coat, a $1,594 yellow and white Roksanda Illincic frock (which Prince William likened to a "banana"), and a $2,521 custom red Catherine Walker coat—totaled over $65,000. The most affordable item of Middleton's was a dress from British retailer Hobbs, which cost $58. [Daily Mail]

Lupita Nyong'o Named CFDA Fashion Award Presenter: The first presenter to be announced for this year's CFDA Awards is none other than Academy Award-winning actress and People's 'Most Beautiful' person, Lupita Nyong'o. The budding fashion "It" girl—who is currently the face of Lancome and Miu Miu—will present the award for 'Womenswear Designer of the Year,' whose nominees include Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, and Joseph Altuzarra. The CFDA Awards will take place June 2 in NYC. [WWD]
