If you love fried chicken but find that your smartphone always dies while you’re eating it, KFC has solved your oddly specific problem.
The new “Watt a Box,” a container that KFC has launched for its 5-in-1 Meal combo in India, offers not only five people’s worth of oily fast food but a built-in phone charger as well.
“With the launch of Watt a Box, we have gone a step ahead and also introduced an element of utility into the box,” Lluis Ruiz Ribot, a KFC India spokesperson, told The Times of India.
The lower right corner of the box contains a power bank and multiple outlets for both iPhone and Android chargers.
“Each one of us spends a considerable time on our smartphones daily, and the phone battery going dead is almost like a nightmare!” Ribot continued. “No longer is that the case, with the Watt a Box around.”
Yes, our long nightmare of fast food containers that don’t charge cell phones has finally ended—but only at select KFC outlets in Delhi and Mumbai.
