Canadian Hunter Gets Slapped Around By A Black Bear
Richard Wesley was hoping to take home a black bear but the bear would not go down without a fight. He is lucky to be alive.
A Canadian bowhunter had a very wild encounter with his prey in Flint River, Ontario.
Richard Wesley was hoping to take home a black bear but the bear would not go down without a fight.
Welsey captured the attack on video. The two minute clip shows Welsey standing a reasonable distance away from the black bear. A minute later, the black bear can be seen getting pretty close to the hunter which causes Welsey to apprehensively grunt and it sets the bear off.
Seconds later, the bear comes charging at him knocking him to the ground. Screaming in hysteria, Welsey’s camera drops to the ground. Once Welsey picks himself off the floor, you hear him utter the words “Fuck me. Should’ve shot him a long time ago.”
Welsey has spoken out since the incident saying that he did suffer from minor bruise to his elbow.
“I am so happy after this confrontation with a black bear during our spring hunt,” Wesley wrote. “No wounds except a bruised elbow and ego where the bear threw me down. Genuinely happy that this was a non-fatal or tragic outcome.” Welsey said.
