Stars Come Out For Jeffrey Deitch's Final Show

Before leaving behind his New York gallery for Los Angeles’ Museum of Contemporary Art, Jeffrey Deitch opened his final show on May 1 for Shepard Fairey. Author Salman Rushdie, Adrien Brody, and Russell Simmons, were among the big names in attendance for Fairey’s May Day exhibition. The SoHo event brought out men clad in leather and fire-breathing performances, and the following day, the gallerist closed the Josh Smith show at his Long Island City space, which the Gladstone Gallery is soon to take over after Deitch leaves for MOCA.
