George Lopez Divorcing Wife

Talk show host and comedian George Lopez is divorcing his wife of 17 years, TMZ reported Monday. Lopez and his wife, Ann Serrano—who donated a kidney to Lopez in 2005 when he needed a transplant—had spent “a long time” working out their divorce terms in order to ease the blow for their 15-year-old daughter, according to sources. A spokesman for the couple told The Daily Beast: “George and Ann Lopez have made the decision to end their 17-year marriage. The decision is amicable and by mutual agreement. They remain dedicated parents, and committed partners in business and their philanthropic organization, The Lopez Foundation.” Lopez, who starred on a self-titled ABC sitcom from 2002-2007, is currently the host of the late-night talk show Lopez Tonight on TBS.
