Don’t let the door hit you on the way out: National Security Adviser Gen. James Jones—who “comes pretty close” to a “full McChrystal” in Bob Woodward’s new book, according to The Daily Beast’s Bryan Curtis—resigned on Friday. He’ll be replaced by his top deputy Tom Donilon, whom many had considered the frontrunner to replace Rahm Emanuel as chief of staff before Pete Rouse got the job. Obama thanked Jones in a Rose Garden ceremony.
