Tim Davlin, Springfield Mayor Found Dead

Tim Davlin, the mayor of Springfield, Illinois, was found dead in his home on Tuesday in what appears to be a suicide. The 53-year-old Democrat was found in his home with what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound after he missed a court appearance for an estate case involving his cousin. Davlin was elected in 2003 and was not planning to run for a third term.
