Black Swan’s Winona Ryder Says Mel Gibson Anti-Semitic and Homophobic

Winona Ryder was apparently way ahead of the rest of us in finding out Mel Gibson’s true, bigoted colors. In an interview with GQ, the Black Swan star tells an anecdote about Gibson being “really drunk” at a party 15 years ago and telling the actress and her gay friend a “horrible gay joke.” Ryder also explains that after hearing that she is Jewish, Gibson started talking about “oven dodgers.” “It was just this weird, weird moment,” says Ryder. “I was like, 'He's anti-Semitic and he's homophobic.' No one believed me!"
