Craigslist Pulls Adult Services Ads

After closing its “adult services” section in the U.S. in September, Craigslist—the online classifieds website—has apparently shut down the erotic sections of all of its sites worldwide as well. A Craigslist spokeswoman declined to comment on the move, but the site has been hit with scrutiny after it was publicized for hosting ads suggesting prostitution, facilitating illegal sexual services and even abetting sex slavery. Backpage.com, another classified site, continues to run its adult section.
