Arizona Outlaws Westboro Baptist Church

The Arizona state legislature rushed a bill making it illegal to protest within 300 feet of a funeral for one hour before until one hour after the service. That means trouble for the Westboro Baptist Church, which announced plans to protest the funeral of 9-year-old Christina Green, who died in Saturday’s shooting. The bill, which passed unanimously in a flurry of action that took only 90 minutes, was then signed by Governor Jan Brewer on Tuesday evening. Brewer said it would "assure that grieving families and friends will be free from harassment and intimidation at the funerals of their loved ones." Green’s funeral is Thursday.
