Barack Obama Calls Lara Logan

President Obama reportedly called CBS News reporter Lara Logan Wednesday to express his sympathy for her attack in Egypt, while White House spokesman Jay Carney condemned the attack. “We believe that those response for these acts—and obviously there was other violence—need to be held accountable,” Carney said. Logan, who was sexually assaulted by a mob in Cairo last week, was released from the hospital Wednesday and is recovering at home with her family. A family friend said the veteran war correspondent plans to return to work “ within weeks.”
