New Monopoly Ditches Cash, Dice

Board games, meet video games: Hasbro is releasing a new version of Monopoly that does away with cash, cards, and dice. They’ll be replaced by a somewhat menacing computer with a speaker that issues orders, keeps track of players’ money, and even makes sure that players are advancing the proper number of spaces. The company is also planning a digitized version of Battleship. The new Monopoly, called Monopoly Live, will go on sale this fall for $50.
