Dior Fires Galliano
Did he think he was going to get away with it? Christian Dior has fired head designer John Galliano over anti-Semitic and racist remarks he allegedly made on two occasions. Dior suspended the British fashionista after he was arrested in Paris on February 25 for making offensive remarks. But when a video appeared of Galliano purportedly making similar anti-Semitic comments at the same bar on another occasion, the fashion house decided Galliano had to go. "I very firmly condemn what was said by John Galliano," Dior CEO Sidney Toledano said in a statement.
