Radiation to Reach California on Friday

Radiation from Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant will reach Southern California on Friday, according to the United Nations. There’s no need to run, however: officials will say the radiation will dilute as it moves overseas and will have minor consequences at worst. Radiation from Chernobyl in 1986 also reached the Western U.S., with no ill consequences.
