Amy Chua's Daughter Gets Into Ivies

Yale law Professor Amy Chua said Wednesday that her daughter, Sophia, was accepted to Yale and Harvard. Chua’s recent book Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother, described the strict Eastern-style parenting that she used on her two daughters, including long hours of piano practice and no sleepovers, television, or bad grades. Though the book also discussed Chua’s eventual transition to a softer parenting style, it caused a major backlash from those who felt her parenting was too harsh.
