The parents of New York Rangers hockey player Derek Boogaard, who was found dead in his apartment Friday, have decided to donate their son's brain to research into the effects of concussions on athletes. An autopsy was conducted on Sunday, but a cause of death hasn't been released due to pending toxicology test results. Boogaard suffered a serious concussion shortly after joining the Rangers last year which he said kept him from leaving his apartment for weeks at a time. The 28 year old was beloved by his teammates and had a reputation among his fans for starting fights on the ice.
