Rep. Dennis Kucinich is likely to lose his House seat when Ohio redraws its congressional districts. Good thing there’s an opening in Washington: The outspoken liberal is considering a move to the state, which will gain an additional House seat thanks to the new census. While congressmen often run in a neighboring district after redistricting takes place, Kucinich’s cross-country move would be unique: The last congressman to switch states did so 40 years ago. Kucinich has begun visiting the Washington district, where he figures his anti-war pro-labor politics will be popular.
