Strauss-Kahn’s Friends Offer Hush Money: Report

The New York Post says friends of Dominique Strauss-Kahn have contacted the family of the hotel maid who has accused him of sexual assault, offering a payout to make the charges go away. While the accuser is in protective custody, sources tell the Post that Strauss-Kahn’s friends have offered a seven-figure payment to her impoverished family in Guinea. "They already talked with her family," says a businesswoman close with Strauss-Kahn’s family. "For sure, it's going to end up on a quiet note."
