N.Y. Rep: Weiner May Resign Soon

    With more than two dozen fellow Democrats calling for his resignation, disgraced Rep. Anthony Weiner could “hopefully… resign in a couple of days,” says Carolyn McCarthy, another New York Democratic member of Congress. McCarthy made the comment, without elaborating, as she entered a closed-door meeting of House Democrats, during which they’re expected to discuss how to deal with the Weiner affair, which is threatening to overwhelm the caucus’ political efforts. Speaking to NBC yesterday, President Obama said, "I can tell you that if it was me, I would resign."
