Two days after Rep. Anthony Weiner resigned from his seat in Congress following his Twitter sex scandal, a conservative group that operates under the alias #bornfreecrew that had been monitoring Weiner's online behavior for months admitted they knew about people creating fake names and Twitter handles to gather more information on the politician. "Nikki Reid" was one of the fake monikers under the account @starchild111 who acted as a 16 year old girl who wanted Weiner to be her prom date. Another user posed as Reid's friend, contacting the #bornfreecrew and alleging she had incriminating information about Weiner. It is still unclear who was behind the Twitter accounts.
