Homeless Man Finds Out He’s Rich

A real life rags-to-riches tale: A homeless man in Utah has learned that he actually has a fortune. A private investigator said that on Saturday he tracked down Max Melitzer pushing a shopping cart filled with everything he had … except that’s not everything he had, because Melitzer recently inherited a lot of money. The investigator didn’t say how much, but said that Melitzer’s brother died of cancer last year and left in his will his homeless brother a “significant amount.” Melitzer had been on the streets for years, becoming somewhat of a fixture among social workers and local shelters. The investigator said Melitzer has some “emotional issues,” and “the family just wants to make sure he’s set up and he’s taken care of.”
