    McCain 'Puzzled' By Outrage Over Immigrant Remarks

    Sen. John McCain says he is “puzzled” by backlash over his claim that illegal immigrants started some of the wildfires in his state of Arizona. The prominent Republican continued to defend his remarks on NBC’s Today show Tuesday morning, saying that he was only repeating information he had been told by federal officials. "We all know that people who come across our border illegally...that these fires are sometimes, some of them, caused by this,” he insisted. The senator had said that the way to prevent some of the fires “is to get a secure border.”
