Headline News anchor Nancy Grace said Tuesday that Casey Anthony’s not-guilty verdict is “not the truth” about what happened to 2-year-old Caylee, and said the toddler’s “death has gone unavenged.” Grace has led her network’s constant coverage of Anthony’s trial and verdict, and Grace’s focus had helped move the case from a local tragedy to a national spectacle. Grace concluded by saying the “devil is dancing” at the verdict. Anthony’s attorney Cheney Mason criticized the media’s obsession with the case Tuesday, not naming Grace specifically but saying some anchors and talking heads had crossed a line in their coverage of the trial. Grace drew record ratings for HLN for her coverage of the five-week trial.
