The second-largest bookstore chain in the U.S. is done for good. Borders will liquidate after it failed to receive any bids to save it. The company employs about 10,700 people, and the liquidation of its remaining 399 stores could start as soon as Friday. It'll likely be out of business by the end of September. Barnes & Noble will now be the only remaining national chain bookstore.
