President Obama will award the Medal of Honor to a U.S. Marine who braved enemy fire and saved five lives in Afghanistan. Dakota Meyer of Austin, Texas, will be the first living Marine to receive the honor since Vietnam. Two living Army soldiers, Leroy Petry and Salvatore Giunta, have received the honor. “I feel the furthest thing from a hero,” Meyer told the Marine Corps Times. He is no longer on active duty.
