Jeffs Convicted of Child Sex Abuse

A Texas jury has found polygamist leader Warren Jeffs guilty of child sexual assault charges. A forensic analysis found DNA on a 15-year-old mother that was almost a certain match, the court heard. Jeffs was also accused of assaulting a 12-year-old girl. The 55-year-old head of the Fundamentalist LDS Church was arrested following a 2008 raid on the church’s remote West Texas ranch. He faces up to life in prison.
