Online Petition for Bert and Ernie Wedding

An online petition on Change.org asks Sesame Street producers to marry Bert and Ernie, the two Muppet roommates. “We are not asking that Sesame Street do anything crude or disrespectful,” says the petition. “It can be done in a tasteful way. Let us teach tolerance of those that are different." The petition also urges Sesame Street to introduce a transgender character.
