Rove: Perry’s Views Are ‘Toxic’

Rick Perry is putting out fires in Texas and heading into tonight’s GOP debate as the presumptive frontrunner, but he still has a thorn in his side. On Good Morning America on Wednesday, Republican strategist Karl Rove slammed Perry’s views on Social Security as “toxic in a general-election environment, and they are also toxic in a Republican primary.” Meanwhile, the latest polls show Perry surging ahead of former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney in the GOP field.
