Lee’s Remains Drench Northeast

When it rains, it pours. Remnants of Tropical Storm Lee are now dumping four to seven inches of rain on the waterlogged Northeast, with 10 inches in isolated pockets. The rainfall has put regions still recovering from flooding after Hurricane Irene back on alert: New York and Vermont have put rescue workers, swift-water boats, and helicopters on standby in case of flash floods. New York and Pennsylvania also carried out evacuations along the Mohawk River and Solomon Creek, respectively.
