Kim Kardashian’s friends are laughing at Kris Humphries' claims about being “willing to do whatever it takes to make the marriage work,” claiming the NBA star began “chasing fame” as soon as their marriage went sour. Whenever the subject of divorce came up over the past few weeks, Kris is said to have panicked about how little he had profited from his 72 days of marriage with Kim, talking about “branding” his name with cologne, nightclub appearances, and the like. Sources told TMZ that Kris wanted to keep up with the Kardashians even if they ended their marriage, which disturbed Kim. They added that she was even further put off when he hired a Hollywood publicist over the weekend to boost his image.
