Anonymous seems to have won its battle with the Mexican drug cartel Los Zetas after the gang released a member of the “hacktivist” group it had kidnapped last month. Anonymous spokesman Barrett Brown rescinded an earlier promise to release the names and information of the Zetas cartel members, but said Anonymous would be going after other cartels. However, Anonymous Iberoamerica, a Spanish-language Anonymous blog, acknowledged that such a move would not be wise. “If Anonymous unveils any name related to the cartel, the family of the kidnapped Anonymous member will suffer the consequences. For each cartel name revealed, 10 people will be put to death,” Los Zetas vowed.
