The NBA has reportedly nixed a deal that would send Chris Paul to the Lakers for Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom. In the proposed three-team trade, the Houston Rockets would get Gasol, and surrender three of their players to New Orleans. Paul, a highly coveted All Star that the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks were rumored to be interested in, would have joined the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant for the upcoming shortened season. The Lakers are also rumored to be pursuing a deal for Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard.
