Iran Parades Lost CIA Drone on TV

This photo released on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, claims to show US RQ-170 Sentinel drone which Tehran says its forces downed earlier this week, as the chief of the aerospace division of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, right, listens to an unidentified colonel, in an undisclosed location, Iran. Iran claims it has captured a CIA stealth drone, displaying the supposedly-stolen drone on national television and starting a diplomatic protest. Though the U.S. did lose an aircraft several days ago, officials have not confirmed that the one shown in the Iranian video is the same drone. If the drone that Iran is parading is, in fact, the same one that went missing that would mean a significant failure in the United States’ effort to monitor Iran’s alleged nuclear facilities.
