Paul Doesn’t Envision Presidency

On the eve of Iowa’s presidential caucuses, Ron Paul—who is near the top of the polls in the state—dropped a bomb when he told reporters that he didn’t see himself as president of the United States. When asked whether he envisioned himself in the position, Paul answered honestly: “Not really, but I think it’s a possibility.” He even said he didn’t want to seem “overconfident” while expressing confidence in his campaign, and admitted he was rallying for a movement to change politics in America as much as he was campaigning to be president. Newt Gingrich is even more certain of his own defeat, telling reporters on Monday, “I don’t think I’m going to win.
