Five teenagers were shot and wounded Saturday night during St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Indianapolis. Gunfire erupted when crowds gathered along the popular downtown canal, and two people were in critical condition, though none of them were believed to be facing life-threatening injuries. Police said officers were on their way to check on a report of young people fighting when they suddenly heard shots fired. No arrests have been made.
