Obama Attacks GOP Budget

    President Obama will attack the House Republican budget set forth by Paul Ryan—and embraced by Mitt Romney—as being a “radical vision” equal to “social Darwinism” in a speech Tuesday. “By gutting the very things we need to grow an economy that’s built to last—education and training; research and development—it’s a prescription for decline,” Obama said. House Republicans recently passed Ryan’s $3.5 trillion budget for 2013, which includes tax cuts and an overhaul to Medicare, Medicaid, and other entitlement programs.
