Jeb ‘Would Consider’ Being VP

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush gestures as he speaks at the Hispanic Leadership Network's conference, Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 in Miami. Bush says the presidential candidates must earn his endorsement and wants the candidates to work hard to get to know Florida before he lends his support. But allowed that after Tuesday's primary he might reconsider. Bush also refused to rule out the possibility of the vice presidential spot on the 2012 GOP ticket, but he likened the chances to those of joining "Dancing with the Stars." (AP Photo/Wilfredo Lee)

Former Florida governor Jeb Bush said he’d “consider” running on a ticket with Mitt Romney if asked, Newsmax.com reported Saturday. Saying he doesn’t “know if it’s the right thing for me to do,” Bush said he thought budding GOP star Sen. Marco Rubio, also of Florida, would be a better candidate. “Well, I can’t speak for Governor Romney, and I can’t speak for Senator Rubio, but if I was on both sides of that conversation, I would ask, and I would hope that Marco would accept,” Bush said.
