Tommy Thompson is a former Wisconsin governor running to represent the great cheese state in the U.S. Senate. He’s also a sportsman—hunter and fisher, “NRA-life member, sporting enthusiast, and firearms owner”—and advocate for gun rights. As a part of a new initiative to appeal to the NRA crowd, he has rounded up a small stack of sportsmen endorsements and is now unleashing a celebrity robocall featuring none other than rocker and weapons enthusiast Ted Nugent. Those lucky enough to live in the district Thompson is courting can expect a call from "the Nuge" declaring, “I'm a blood brother of the spirit of Wisconsin, and Tommy Thompson represents America, Wisconsin, the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Golden Rule, and the Ten Commandments, perfectly.”
