The internet isn't always mean. As of Thursday afternoon, nearly $300,000 in crowd-sourced funding has been raised so that senior citizen Karen Huff Klein can take a well-earned vacation. The site IndieGoGo created the fund after a disturbing video of Klein getting bullied by teens went viral this week. In the video, Klein—who works as a bus monitor—is seen crying after being told she's "fat" and "should probably just commit suicide" by a group of teens who threaten to break into her home. In response, Klein has received an outpouring of sympathy, and now, money. "It is just huge," said the crowd-source campaign's creator, Max Sidorov. "I thought it would get a few thousand dollars, maybe. But maybe she could retire on this."
