Steam Starts Annual Videogame Sale

The annual summer Steam sale kicked off Thursday, with huge deals on popular games such as Portal 2 and Call of Duty—and drew enough fans that the store temporarily went down Thursday. Every day through July 23, Steam offers 24-hour discounts on PC games—Thursday’s deals included Modern Warfare 3, Portal 2, Terraria, and Legend of Grimrock. Steam also runs “flash sales” in shorter time periods.
