Sorkin Denies Firing Writing Staff

    Those reports that The Newsroom creator Aaron Sorkin fired his entire writing staff are “totally untrue,” Sorkin said Wednesday at the Television Critics Association press tour. What’s more, the reports are “scaring the hell out of the writing staff,” Sorkin said, adding that they’re “acting very, very strange,” even “coming to work early” and “being polite to me.” Sorkin did allow that he had brought on paid consultants from the worlds of journalism and politics, though he wouldn’t say their names.
