Dems Slam Ryan on Economic Plan

    Soon after Mitt Romney officially announced Paul Ryan as his running mate on Saturday, Democrats took aim at the Wisconsin congressman’s middle-class credentials. Obama campaign manager Jim Messina hammered Ryan on his record as a legislator, saying that the Republican darling “rubber-stamped the reckless Bush economic policies that exploded our deficit and crashed our economy.” Chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Rep. Steve Israel called the GOP pairing “a match made in millionaire’s heaven,” and said that the two will be “a nightmare for seniors who’ve earned their Medicare benefits.”
