U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) waves with Republican Presidential candidate and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney after he introduced Romney at a campaign stop at Lawrence University March 30, 2012 in Appleton, Wisconsin.

During a campaign stop in Ashland, Va., Mitt Romney said, “This is a critical time for America,” explaining that President Obama has “added almost as much debt as all the presidents combined.” Romney claimed he and Paul Ryan are not running for partisan reasons, saying, “We step forward out of love for America.” He promised to improve education by putting “kids and parents first…and the teachers union behind.” He also promised the new GOP ticket would “make it easier for small business to go and thrive…One way to do that is by repealing and replacing Obamacare.”
