The money keeps rolling in. The announcement of Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) as Mitt Romney’s running mate is proving to be a financial windfall for the GOP presidential hopeful. Campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul announced on Twitter Tuesday that the new Romney–Ryan ticket has already raised $7.4 million from more than 101,000 donations since the announcement. The first fundraising pitch was sent out shortly after Ryan was named Romney’s VP pick in Virginia on Saturday. Romney and the Republican National Committee are on a fundraising streak: They have outraised President Obama and his team three months running.
