Ryan Brings Mom to Retirement Village

Paul Ryan and his mother are headed to The Villages, Florida—the world's largest retirement community—to talk about Medicare. The community, which boasted a population of 51,442 as of the 2010 census, has become a regular stop along the campaign trail for Republican presidential candidates in recent elections. While Villages residents are typically Republicans with a penchant for donating big bucks, Ryan is still depending on his 70-year-old mother—herself a part-time resident of Florida's Lauderdale-by-the Sea—to help make sure his Medicare-needs-to-change argument goes over with the senior crowd.
