Do they sell GOP-themed umbrellas? Tropical Storm Isaac will delay this week's Tampa convention. The Republican Committee Chairman issued a statement Saturday night stating that the convention will convene on Monday only to immediately recess until Tuesday afternoon, when the storm is expected to depart Tampa. Meanwhile, Gov. Rick Scott declared a state of emergency for Florida on Saturday and announced he would be withdrawing from all RNC activities to focus on storm safety. The Key West airport will close Saturday night, though as many as 50,000 delegates arrived earlier in the day.
