Louisiana needs more money. At least according to the state’s governor, Bobby Jindal, who said in a news briefing Tuesday that President Obama isn’t providing enough support to cover the anticipated costs of Hurricane Isaac. The president’s emergency declaration only provides “direct federal assistance,” and doesn’t include reimbursement of state expenses, which Jindal says he needs. Obama says he may issue additional declarations in the future. Prior to his the calls for more funding, Jindal had previously attacked Obama for excessive federal spending.
